Growing Up Healthy and Strong

There’s no greater peace of mind than knowing that your child is thriving and healthy. Allegro Pediatrics offers routine visits, called Well Care Check-ups, from the first month of your child’s life through their teens. These check-ups are the best way to monitor your child’s health and build a strong connection with your pediatrician. The visits typically include a physical exam, as well as growth monitoring, developmental screening, immunizations, and expert guidance. Well Care Check-ups are also a great time to complete School, Sports & Camp forms as well as learn about recommendations when traveling with your child.

Ages & Stages Program

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) offers a free Ages & Stages texting program for parents with children up to the age of five. You'll receive messages about injury prevention, nutrition and feeding advice, what to expect at Well Care Check-ups, upcoming vaccine reminders, and developmental milestones to watch for.

Tips for a Great Visit

• Plan Ahead: Some doctors’ schedules fill up quickly, so please plan ahead and contact us early for an appointment. If your child’s primary doctor is not available, we can schedule you with one of our other skilled and compassionate doctors.
• Insurance: While insurance has traditionally covered routine well care check-ups, there are situations where additional evaluation and management is necessary which can result in an additional office visit charge. Visit Our Policies page for more information about Well Care Appointment Charges.
• Attire: In order to be prepared for a thorough check-up, we ask that patients wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes.
• Arrival: We appreciate your prompt arrival for your child's appointment. Please let us know if you are going to be late. We may need to reschedule based on the doctor's availability.

Recommended Schedule & Wellness Guides

Well Care Check-ups at Allegro Pediatrics follow a generally accepted schedule, but your doctor may recommend a slightly different schedule if needed for your child. Below are the recommended ages to schedule your child:

• 7-14 days old
• 1 month old
• 2 months old
• 4 months old
• 6 months old
• 9 months old
• 12 months old
• 15 months old
• 18 months old
• 2 years old
• Every year after age two
