Background
Alesia Skinner joined our practice in 2023. She attended Eastern Kentucky University for her undergraduate education and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Washington.
Alesia worked as a pediatric registered nurse in a hospital and a juvenile detention facility before becoming a nurse practitioner. These experiences helped her develop a greater level of patience and compassion when providing care to patients and their families. Alesia believes there is no better feeling than guiding a child through a difficult, scary, or new experience and witnessing them make progress and succeed. She has a special interest in Behavioral Health.
Alesia is originally from Kentucky but relocated to Seattle in 2014. Outside of work, she enjoys Salsa and Bachata dancing, trying new workouts, paddleboarding, spending time with friends, and a cup of coffee with a good book. Alesia has also been learning Spanish as a second language and is always looking for opportunities to practice and expand her language skills.
