When kids are the patients, the day is filled with laughter and joy.
Background
Dr. Katherine Koss joined our practice in February 2015. She attended Notre Dame for her undergraduate education and Georgetown University for medical school. She completed her residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Dr. Koss knew from an early age that she wanted a career in medicine where she could help people and develop relationships with her patients. She discovered a passion for working with children on the first day of her pediatric rotation and knew she could never do anything else. Dr. Koss is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and enjoys working with new parents. She has a strong interest in humanitarian medical work and has worked in Cambodia, Kenya, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Panama.
Dr. Koss, her husband, daughter, and son recently moved back to the United States from Switzerland. She says, “If you put me anywhere in the world with a pair of hiking boots and the people I love, I couldn't be happier.” Her favorite adventures include ice climbing in Chile, the trek to the summit of Kilimanjaro, ascending Mt. Fuji, camping in Haleakala Crater, and hiking atop the Great Wall of China.
Occasionally, providers may not be accepting new patients. Please check with the receptionist when scheduling an appointment.
