Knowing you can witness and play an active role in a child’s development from infancy to adolescence and contribute to their growth in that way is rewarding.
Background
Dr. Nisha Ahir joined our practice in 2018. She attended Miami University for her undergraduate education and then went on to The Ohio State University College of Medicine for medical school. Dr. Ahir completed her residency at Loyola University Medical Center.
Dr. Ahir has loved working with children for as long as she can remember. She has been able to connect with children while volunteering as a kindergarten teacher with AmeriCorps and working in a social work setting in an oncology clinic. These experiences led Dr. Ahir to pursue her passion of pediatric medicine. She is excited by the spontaneity of children, following the milestones that come with each age, and applying her love of teaching to her conversations with families about health and pediatric care. Dr. Ahir has a clinical interest in newborn care and lactation, as well as preventative care and management of asthma.
Dr. Ahir lives in Seattle with her husband (a fellow physician), their son, and the family dog, a spunky cockapoo named Harper. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, exploring Seattle’s food scene, photography, traveling, and supporting the Ohio State Buckeyes on the football field.
